{"id":326,"date":"2023-04-30T16:33:22","date_gmt":"2023-04-30T16:33:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lescfl.org\/?page_id=326"},"modified":"2026-01-06T02:59:48","modified_gmt":"2026-01-06T02:59:48","slug":"lake-eustis-mc-scow-fleet","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/lescfl.org\/index.php\/lake-eustis-mc-scow-fleet\/","title":{"rendered":"Lake Eustis MC Scow Fleet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>About the MC Scow Fleet #4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We are the \u201cSouthern-Most\u201d fleet of MC Scow. \u00a0We are based at the beautiful <\/strong><strong>Lake<\/strong> <strong>Eustis<\/strong><strong> Sailing Club (LESC) in <\/strong><strong>Eustis<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong><strong>Florida<\/strong><strong>. We race every other weekend <\/strong><strong>along with other fleets (Flying Scots and Wayfarers<\/strong><strong>). \u00a0We get 6-12 MCs on the line with very competitive racing. \u00a0We host three regattas every year which bring top sailors from all over the US. \u00a0All are 3-day regattas that are very well attended. \u00a0In November, we host the Southeast Regional Regatta which brings about 45 competitors. \u00a0In January, we host the Train Wreck Regatta that draws about 55. \u00a0In March, we host the MCSA Midwinter Championship Regatta. \u00a0This regatta is very competitive and has recently drawn 72 racers. \u00a0Midwinters draws high level sailors including Rolex nominated, past Olympians, North American and National champions, Melges factory team, sailmakers, instructors and coaches. \u00a0<br \/>Full membership is very reasonably priced and we also offer inexpensive regatta membership for competitors who live outside of Florida. \u00a0This allows the racer to store the boat at the club from November to March so that the boat is onsite for the Triple Crown race series. \u00a0Regatta members are also welcome to sail in club races. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: revert\">Central Florida is a great pace to spend your winters or to move to. \u00a0Our club has many snowbirds and we are within a half an hour of The Villages. \u00a0Mount Dora is 15 minutes away and is a top destination, known for its old Florida charm, many great shops and restaurants.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: revert\">If you have not visited the <\/strong><strong style=\"font-size: revert\">Lake<\/strong><strong style=\"font-size: revert\"> Eustis <\/strong><a style=\"font-size: revert\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20221005150010\/http:\/\/lescfl.com\/\"><strong>website<\/strong><\/a><span style=\"font-size: revert\">, <\/span><strong style=\"font-size: revert\">take the opportunity!
